After breakfast, set off for Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. Located at 1,200 meters, Punakha is a peaceful, quieter destination compared to the bustling cities. It enjoys a warm climate in winter and cool weather in summer. The valley is known for its rice fields along the Pho and Mo Chu rivers. On the way, you’ll visit:

Punakha Dzong: Known as "The Palace of Great Happiness", this breathtaking fortress sits at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (father) and Mo Chhu (mother) rivers. It's one of Bhutan’s most iconic dzongs, connected to the mainland by an arched wooden bridge. The dzong is home to many valuable relics and served as the political and religious center when Bhutan’s kings ruled from here.
